Xplor Zipline: Dare to take the challenge?

Xplor Zipline: Dare to take the challenge?

Jun 27, 2011

If you want to live a new adventure, this is your chance!

Get ready to overcome the fear of heights at Xplor.

Fear of heights may happen before attempting the Xplor’s zipline jump, or after climbing hundreds of steps, only to realize you have a vast Yucatan Peninsula jungle under your feet. You can hardly perceive the tiny trees and maybe someone looking at you at a distant point. Isn’t it fascinating to jump across a Riviera Maya jungle tour?

Are you ready to jump?

Fear of heights may happen before attempting the Xplor’s zipline jump, or after climbing hundreds of steps, only to realize you have a vast Yucatan Peninsula jungle under your feet. You can hardly perceive the tiny trees and maybe someone looking at you at a distant point. Isn’t it fascinating to jump across a Riviera Maya jungle tour?

Fear of heights also means fear of the unknown. Your eyes normally perceive the world at a height less than 2 meters. Now you are exposed to a completely different picture.

Overcoming fears means to live a completely different experience. Once you confront it, you will feel all the adrenaline that was kept in your body. Many will shout for joy and fun. Most will want to repeat the experience!

The challenge

Now you have a challenge to overcome! Ziplines in Xplor lie on air and remind you to jump. You will be the protagonist of this adventure during your fall. Are you ready ?

The best you can do to overcome fears is to visualize a mental routine. Some people can count to 10, others just shout: Here I go!  We recommend a tip that is much more practical. Think of something you really like and visualize it at the end of your journey. Close your eyes and enjoy the fall. Before you notice. you’ll be on the other side with a big smile.

Unusual facts

Still not convinced?  Think about this: the tallest tower of Xplor Park is 46 meters.  What can we compare to this dimension?

46 meters = 18 bottlenose dolphins,

funny and playful animals of the Caribbean. You can  put them in a single row from bottom to top!

46 meters = 6 flamboyant giant trees,

one of the most beautiful “flame trees” among the Yucatan Peninsula.

46 meters = almost 2 Temple of Kukulkan,

one of the main settlements in Chichen Itza

Before you jump, imagine that you are above 16 dolphins, or 6 flamboyant trees or 2 Temple of Kukulkan. Visualizing images in your mind will help you overcome your fears. Everything will be equated to actual lengths. We invite you to try it for yourself. What else can you think that measures 46 meters high?

Go for it! Enjoy a Zipline Adventure tour at Xplor Park in the Riviera Maya
